Crash Replacement Policy

These Terms and Conditions govern the Hövding Crash Replacement Program (“Program”). By applying for or participating in the Program, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

At Hövding, we understand that accidents can happen even when you take all the right precautions. If you are involved in a cycling accident and your Hövding 4 is deployed, we offer a Crash Replacement Program to help you get back on the road safely and affordably.

 

How it works

If your Hövding 4 has been deployed in an accident, you are eligible for a 50% discount on a replacement unit based on current hovding.com list price. The replacement airbag will be the same model as the original, or the nearest equivalent if the original is no longer available.

This program is designed to support our customers in continuing to cycle with high level of protection at a reduced cost after an unforeseen incident. It is not connected in any way to warranty claims. A cash refund for your Hövding 4 is not part of this program. This program is applicable in European countries only, excluding Sweden.

We reserve the right to amend, suspend, or discontinue the Crash Replacement Program at any time without prior notice. Any such changes shall not affect applications already approved prior to the date of change, unless required by law.

 

Eligibility

  • The Hövding 4 airbag must have been deployed during a cycling accident.
  • The product must be used as intended in a crash scenario.
  • Proof of purchase and, where applicable, documentation or photos of the incident may be requested.
  • You are required to provide details of the accident. Note: in cases of misuse or abuse of the airbag, it will not be eligible for replacement.
  • The program can be used within 3 years of the date of purchase.

 

Replacement offer

  • Eligible customers receive 50% off current hovding.com list price of a new Hövding 4 unit.
  • The replacement offer is limited to one unit per crashed device.

 

Purpose of the program

A Hövding 4 airbag can only be used once. When it inflates in an accident, it has done its job, and after that it needs to be replaced. The Crash Replacement Program lets you get back on your bike with the same protection at half the price.

To request a crash replacement, please visit Crash Replacement and provide details of your incident and product information. You will then be guided through the process. Hövding reserves the right to request additional information before making a final determination.
