Warranty questions

The questions we get most often about warranty claims.

What does the warranty cover?

Manufacturing defects within 3 years of the original purchase date. The warranty does not cover damage from a crash deployment (covered by the crash replacement program instead), wear from normal use, or modifications to the product.

What information do I need to submit a claim?

Your order number or product serial, the date of purchase, photos of the issue, and a short description of what went wrong. If you bought from a reseller, have the reseller's receipt ready.

How long does the review take?

We respond within 5 business days of receiving your claim. If we need additional information, we'll reach out directly by email. Approved claims are usually resolved within two weeks end-to-end.

My Hövding deployed in a crash — is that a warranty claim?

No. After a deployment, your helmet is covered by the crash replacement program, which gets you 50% off a replacement unit — not the warranty. Register the crash through the crash replacement form instead.

Does the warranty apply outside the EU?

The 3-year warranty applies in every country where Hövding is sold directly. For purchases through a reseller, local consumer law may differ — check with the reseller first, as many offer their own complementary cover.
