Hövding 4 is the fourth generation of the world's safest head protection for urban cyclists. The collar houses a folded airbag and a sensor array that reads your movement 200 times per second. In the event of an accident, the airbag deploys in 0.1 seconds — faster than the blink of an eye — forming a protective hood around your head and neck. No helmet. No compromise. Just zip, flip, ride.

Sizing & fit
One size fits all. The collar uses an adjustable Boa® dial on the back that fine-tunes the fit from a ~30 cm to a ~55 cm neck circumference. Close the zipper, fold the flap, turn the dial until it sits snug — it should feel like a soft scarf, neither loose nor pinching. No sizing decisions required at checkout.

What happens if it deploys by mistake?
You are protected by our advanced AI. Hövding reads your movement patterns 200 times per second and only deploys when it detects a distinct accident profile. It distinguishes between normal cycling (even aggressive riding) and a crash.
Is the collar reusable after a crash?
No. Like traditional bicycle helmets after an impact, Hövding is a single-use product. Once the airbag has deployed, the unit needs to be replaced.
Does it work with long hair or hats?
Yes. Hövding works regardless of hairstyle. You can wear it with long hair, short hair, or a thin hat underneath the collar.
How long does the battery last?
Hövding's battery lasts for approximately 11 hours of active cycling on a single charge. Charging takes about 3 hours using the included USB-C cable.
Is it safer than a regular helmet?
Independent testing has shown Hövding provides up to 8x better head impact protection compared to traditional bicycle helmets.
